MUSINGS OF AN ANGRY HUNGRY MAN.
Last night I was angry
This emotions enveloped me
And made me sickening.
Last night I was hungry
I couldn't strike a match
Even though I have food in my kitchen.
Last night I was angry
Wondered why life seems impossible
Even when you tried to be capable.
Last night I was hungry
Hungry for the bread of affection
Yet no food for my ingestion.
Last night I was angry
About the people you entrust
But they are just so self engrossed.
Last night I was angry and hungry
Could it be the fatigue from this journey
Or the stress involved in this emotional tourney.?
Last night anger engulfed me, hunger revolved me.
Is the Devil playing tricks on me
Or God is calling me to reasoning.?
Last night I couldn't sleep
So I prayed to God never to forsake me
And never to leave me perplexed for any reason

Be my light oh Lord,
Guide me through the darkness of this world.

ME AND MY MOJO
MY MOJO
We connect like a frequency on the radio station
To all in here and everywhere
Through the year lovely poems we wrote and share
Commenting and liking my works, my burden you all bear
Words cannot express my gratitude this very year.
To all my pen pals and social media friends
Who believed in my Muse and Mojo to the end
To all that criticize me positively and constructively,
Believe me; without you i won't be here.
At times our own light goes out
Yet re-kindled by a spark from another.
Most times reading your works excites me and pushes me a little further.
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy
And change ordinary opportunities like this into blessings.
To all my performing poets, i say thank you
Though time and chance haven’t given me the space
But i will keep at it and make sure on stage no one takes my place.
To my friends and home boys that lives next door, i say “Sine qua non”
To the beautiful ladies in my life, i blow kisses in turns
To the tiny pretty lady that doesn’t want to go with me on a date
It took me another 7 month to see her again
Her childish behaviour can be sometimes irking,
I’m holding on but wonder what she’s thinking.
To him that goofed trying to back-stab me
Tell him Christ is still right behind me.
To them that thought i write like an unbeliever
Tell them Christ is since my redeemer
I only carve a niche as i await my clever Diva.
Let us rise up and be thankful
For if we didn’t learn a lot in the year, at least we learned a Little
If we didn’t learn a little at least we didn’t die.
So let us all be thankful and keep hope alive.
As for me, I’m glad someone like you could help my Mojo through it
Building the Cathedral, we can jointly do it.
I will always think of you with a glad and grateful heart
You are all very special, I knew it from the very start.

ZION
The sun is spiced up with the birth of a cloudy heaven
The rain was delivered to earth to bring joy and blessings into our world
Every good things come from the Lord,
Our beautiful creator above.
The land has been ploughed and tilled for a Godly seed.
The planter moved to work with Divine Faith unseen
We planted, Apollo watered it, but God gave the increase
This time, we operated under the oil of ease
The month of perfection is a great harvest indeed.
They say; Third time is a charm
But we thank the blood of the lamb
Who gave victory to the planter and rain to the seed.
He bloom the flowers in the field and make the seeds to flourish.
Flowers are the music of the ground from earth’s lips spoken
The fruits are the reward of life budded in the seed coven.
Zion; our place of fortress
A beautiful Eden given as a place of rest.
The garden of promise to the righteous soul
A place of completion that made us whole.
We journeyed on this path two previous time
But on the third time, he brought us to a covenant place.
Zion, the city of the Lord
No more grieve, what a relief
The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Violence will no more be heard in your land,
Nor ruin or destruction within your borders.
We will call your walls, Salvation, and all your portals, Praise.
The sun will no more be your light by day; by night you will not need the brightness of the moon.
But the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will forever be your glory.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
_Zion my joyful place._

LET IT BE KNOWN (SUNSET ON OUR PROTEST)
It's obvious the country's destiny is dark and Misty
Taken aback by these old politicians
Playing tricks on us like a silly magician.
The youth have been accused of being lazy and not ready,
But they proved everybody wrong by standing up to ask for their rights.
Peacefully, slowly and steady
Gradually, the needy moved against the greedy.
Let it be known, that the youth demanded from it's government accountability and social justice
They stopped watching Netflix and hit the streets
They cried out in one voice, knowing that the country is there's with no choice.
End Police brutality, End Bad governance, End Corruption all in a metaphor of #EndSARS.
Let it be known that the protest was organized and peaceful
Demanding the government to do the needful
It span on for 2 weeks, but our government is greedy and just too weak.
To our agitation they were not ready to listen, all they care about is the revenue they are loosing.
So they send in thugs to infiltrate and disrupt
Giving reasons to make use of Military force.
Let it be known that on 20th October 2020, the army's crocodile smiled.
In Lekki, on unarmed protesters the Soldiers were shooting from a mile.
They shut down the lights aiming to take our lives.
Pandemonium at the toll-gate, while the youths stood their grounds
Singing the national anthem also waving the country's flag.
It was a black Tuesday, they leave behind sorrow, tears and blood
They drenched the Nigerian flag with her tomorrow's future blood.
Let it be known that this government is a coward, they negotiated with terrorists, but refused to negotiate with her youths.
It was a planned massacre, they imposed an emergency curfew, they waited till night and shutdown the lights.
They refused ambulances access to help
They carted away our fallen heroes in their shelves.
Now; they denied it never happened, obviously our future has been traded, I'm so saddened.
Tell them the Sun will rise again and the youth will take their rightful place.
Never again will we be silenced #SΓ²rΓ²Soke
Never again will we allow "kakistocracy" a system where the government is run by the worst of us to lead the best of us.
Let it be known. ✊✊✊

MISTY AT SIXTY
Old and rickety the old lady is
A life unfamiliar, a living so similar
A future uncertain, a risky bargain
An independent but dependent woman
In togetherness, Love in a misty comma.
Beautiful she was with with her two big breast
Enough to satisfy our longing, Full of milk and honey
She was attractive and smart, the choice of many men
She was fruitful and productive a mother of 36 children.
Thinking when she grows old she can probably have rest
But rest is far, not when the children are at loggerhead.
Siblings with no love, seeking attention from mama above
They are mostly from different tribe
I guess our mama slept with different men.
Every man she ever dated, Hausa, Igbo, kanuri or Yoruba, it really doesn't matter.
They all come with Sweet talks to deceive the family member
They arrange for deceptive palliative, they even dance at the party rally
They come in their regalia, an agbada full of stolen dollars
With the intent of stealing more, fooling their myopic followers.
He raped her severally in our very presence
Sucked rigorously on our mamas breast
Like every other, he puts his fingers thrusting in between her sweet cookie jar
Taking her on hardcore ride, in different crazy style
Later ejaculating into her semen of hatred and violence
Disrupting her system with an evil DNA
Now mama had to lie to our neighbor everyday on NTA.
What I felt for our mama was much a pity.
Men roll out drums and she danced to shame.
Now that she's 60, her condition is even worse and risky.
It doesn't seems she can see clearly, she's so vague, rickety and misty
She thought she was doing her children some favor by dating these men of no valor
Men that disrupts her body system through corrupt practices
Same system she's breastfeeding to her 36 children
Through Federal character that is a big illusion
Yet they lie that EFCC could be the solution.
How can we save our mother from these evil vultures
Who sees her as a harlot and rape her day by day in our parlour through different culture.
Who will save her from this nightmare
A nation full of insurgency, ethnicity and religious divide
Massacre in every state, crime on the increase as the economy nose dive.
Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our country aright
Don't let the labour of our heroes past to be in vain
Help us to build a nation where peace and justice
shall reign.
