A FATHER'S LOVE ❤️

A Father's love takes you farther

Giving you confidence like no other.

His cares and prayers

Build up the family in layers.

Assurance of making his own a better player.

He teaches you the Godly way.

So, you can be a Christ ambassador and not sway

A father's love is like a ladder

He holds you up, not making you stagger

Gives you access to the top

His advice keeps you going with no stop

He teaches you how to farm

How to make money and be calm.

He's their for you through the storm

With so much assurance, he wraps you in his arms in turn.

A father's love is like a Nurse

Who cares for you when you are, and when not.

A profession my father is so proud of,

He climbed to the top and stood tall

He gives you tender loving care

And so much kindness to share.

He takes care of your life's wounds

Makes you feel better and makes you feel new.

My father's love is like a lamp,

Shinning his light to guide us through life's camp.

He shows us the way of Trinity

The way of truth and fear

His aim is to take us to eternity.

He shows love to my mother, never make his wife to bother.

His fears and tears are unseen,

His love is unexpressed

But his care and protection remain as a pillar of strength throughout our lives.

A father's love is eternal and without end.

He's definitely God sent.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FATHER.

TEST FOR PROTEST (HUNGER IS STRONGER)

I see placards like swarm of locusts on the first day of August.

I see people on the street

Walking in the sun on bare feet.

I see them in the marketplace

Holding hands with their neighbour matching from place to place.

"Enough is Enough" is the mantra

We can not continue to take "shit" from these mindless leaders.

Say No to Bad Governance

Their ineptitude has crushed our tolerance.

We have leaders who lack empathy but feed fat on our collective sweat and throw senseless parties.

Yet hunger is ravaging the land,

But their supporters are paid to salvage their evil political brand.

Hunger is stronger;

But i see the common man profuse and confused

Their attention hijacked and diffused.

I see tears in their eyes, falling like rain drops from the sky

I see Babylonian in Zion, striking hot the cold iron,

Tearing down flesh like a hungry lion

Actualizing their evil plans of aeon.

On his selfish mandate, they chose a candidate.

With their wicked ways it was a manipulated date.

But no more fears on people’s faces

They are ready to take back what belongs to them.

Yet the government thinks it’s just a storm in a tea cup.

Even with their thugs and traditional oro-cults,

This hunger protest, we shall never boycott.

Hunger is stronger;

Yet, i see their leaders as the highest bidder.

The so-called senators are nothing but a bunch of predators

I see them in the lower chamber

Throwing words at each other with hot temper

Assembled in the ad hoc house,

Just to taste the cheese like Mickey Mouse

They are making policies for us to see

But their minds are corrupt, waiting to launder money overseas

Not the EFCC or ICPC can stop them

Cus those are agencies too blind to see them.

We are being given concoction for abortion

Investigation is their language in ugly situations

What else could it be but corruption.

They are all crooks; even the few with integrity are disappointing

This is a bate to cook.

Hunger is Stronger;

The situation of the nation has turned abomination.

Removal of subsidy has brought about jeopardy

The cost of living is now killing the living,

The living must survive, so protest is a given.

Yesterday, both hunger and poverty married themselves,

Made the houses of the common man their residence.

To eat now has turned luxury,

Most men and family are living in penury.

In Nigeria, everyday homes are being destroyed

To the grave, great destinies are deployed.

We need to redeem the days because it’s full of evil.

Making up for the mistake of past elections by being civil.

Let the poor breathe, he lied.

But a mindful breath this period does wonders for the soul.

Lets all take a deep breath,

Inhale peace, exhale happiness and focus on what is important.

Please don't Suffocate us Jagaban

Cus" only those who know how to breathe will survive in your regime.

These Politicians are all Babylonians in Zion,

Tearing down our fleshs like a hungry lion.

I see hustling and bustling in fear

I see a government that doesn’t care

They are serving us concoction for abortion

Corruption has eaten deep into our dear Nation.

Hunger is indeed stronger, hopelessness birth chaos.

Give us light, good roads and water, good governance is what we deserve

The youths need good jobs, tired of eating only bread and butter.

We need economic security, let this hardship stop

Tell it loud; tell it to the man on top.

ON MY PERIOD

I woke up this morning feeling so heavy

Like a warship coming with a thousand navy

I heard the sound of a flying black raven

I felt the sunlight shinning on me from heaven.

I watched the wall clock tick

My eyes so fix, I don’t want to blink.

I stood to realize am so weak

My feet can’t move my mouth won’t speak.

I knew it deep inside that am not sick

I felt a rush over me like a freak

I smiled as I held on to my fist

It’s again that period of the week.

I’m on my period, am not ashamed to speak

Even though it rains with a red beat

And it drains like a lemon squeezed

It comes from me naturally

And end up in me emotionally.

Like a red wine so sweet to savor

So my period comes with good flavor

It’s the best time I have to myself

It’s the time I make use of the books on my shelf

It’s the time my muse comes to help

And my eyes always turn to red.

It’s the time to show my prowess

The time to use my pad.

All I need is a pad and a pen

It’s another period to write a poem.

A period to talk about the blood

The blood that rush and gush

The blood that gush to wash

No one could have loved me this much.

A wondrous beauty I see

What a wonderful world it would be.

Stained with blood so divine

Was an old cross that took the sin of mine

An emblem of sin and shame

For me the Lamb of God bear it all on Calvary aim

To bring me back to glory

My shame & reproach he gladly bears

He suffered and died, not just a story

He resurrected for me to be there.

So will I cherish and cling to the cross on my kneels down

Knowing I will exchange it someday for a glorious crown.

That I may know him and the power of his resurrection

And the fellowship of his suffering

Being made conformable unto his death.

Cos without the cross, there is no blood

Without the blood, there will be no death

Without death, there will be no resurrection

Without resurrection there will be no me

And without me, there will be no such period.

A period to use my pad,

A period to use my pen,

A period to write a poem.

WE HAIL THEE, THE COLONIAL CREED (ANTHEM)

Nigeria we hail thee
Our own dear native land
Though tribes and tongue may differ
In brotherhood we stand
Nigerians all, are proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.

Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign
In peace or battle honour'd,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.

O God of all creation
Grant this our one request.
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.

Yommy Bishop◇●

My own thoughts on the anthem is; the above was a creed and the Arise oh compatriots was a call to serve.
I believe our fathers are just suffering from Stockholm syndrome, that's why they prefer the anthem composed by the colonial masters to the one that is Indigenous.
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Oh God of creation, direct our Noble course
Guide our leaders right, help our youth the truth to know.
With Love and honesty to grow.
And live in just and truth
Great lofty height attain
To build a Nation where peace and justice shall reign. 🙏

I STILL MISS YOU.

I still miss you, that’s what is ringing in my mind

Nights are lonely; days are becoming so sad,

So I pick my pen and paper to write

About the  love that we shared and times we had

The games we played and the music we heard

Like a famished baby missing its suckling breast milk…I still miss you

Like a girl missing her candy sweet…I still miss you

I still feel you like a guy missing the chocolate on his lover’s lips

Like a square hole missing the square peg

I miss the way you used to make them beg.

I remember that fateful day I met you

I was lonely with no friend to hang with like a statue

You came into my world with a big bang

You gave me a brand and big smile

You told me you love my style as we said our first “hi”

I still can’t believe you left without saying goodbye

Deep in my mind I keep wondering why

Cos from the bottom of my heart…I still miss you.

You invaded my world with magic my sweet friend

Like five and six together we just blend

I can’t forget how people used to be jealous of our company

They always say together we seem clever and cunning

But the truth is you kept me coming

Always at my back preventing me from falling

Even when others are backstabbing, you stood by me

And told me to be outstanding.

I still miss the season of seasons

The season we lived together for a sole reason

The time we shared together is like a shooting star

Though it was short but those times with you I felt like the superstar

The times we sang and danced to the rock star

And those times we made each other feel like a real gangster

We ate and drank sharing equally our loaf of bread

We shared our dreams; we even shared our little bed

Sleeping with you was fun cos' you always tell stories

that made us go red.

I remember your words so soft and tender

I remember the smell of your cream beyond others

Though I never remember us bath together

But I remember we read and solved math's together

Our life was twine from different angles

Then I believe it takes more than one just to tangle

I still miss you my brother and my friend

You are more than this to me cos' then you weave in deep in more than any other

The day I heard of your demise, I felt life’s crazy remix

When I didn’t hear from you for long I knew something was amiss

I was told you fell sick before your final exit.

I felt bad remembering together in the room we are fantastic four

You, Bayo, Molar and I always hustling to get the fork

We shared our joy and pain together, constantly gyming to keep in form

That day we lost a friend (Kunle DMX) we fought side by side in the struggle

Even those times were tough but we still won the battle

Now with you there is no forever

Because you are already by Babylon’s River.

We started together from elementary but it so

Sad you are lying low in the cementary.

I still miss you Seun Ralph

Looking through my pictures, I still feel you

I miss your outfit that tend to stand you out

Your trendy big trousers and many shirts by Ralph Lauren

No wonder they called you Seun Ralph, so tall like a Giraffe.

I still miss those raps you taught me

Tupac, Nas and Biggie you always bestowed me.

I remember the time we plaited our hair

And everyone thought we were crazy flying in the air.

You inspired me in your little way friend

You brought out the game in me,

Though your character was questionable

But most people still found you fashionable

Not forgetting how you iron a shirt spending hours on the table

I still miss you like the last girl that left

Giving me no notice, turning my heart from right to left

I kept it together but I still shed little tears on my bed

Even though that was the first time, the miracle was

For a while so I had to learn to shift gears on time

She cried, I cried till the rivers run dry.

Seun Ogunseye tribute to you as we carry you in our heart till we die

I burn out candles for you in a moment of silence,

I still miss you friend as your Gentle Soul Rests in Peace

Out of this world of violence.

 GOONIGHT….Not Goodbye

TO ALL THE FALLEN HEROES....  OUR HEART GOES OUT TO YOU.

A GOOD EYES.

I have an Eye for Good things, this i'm about to put to Ink.

I have an Eye for Good things; this is the story i'm about to Sing

Good things are created, they are not calculated
They are made for us to be evaluated
Always near us so we will be elevated.

Good things are all around us,
Every step we take they all surrounds us
They are beautiful,elegant, and exquisite.
Spread over like rainbow so Explicit.
Good things are not always the right thing
But the right thing is always the good thing
Which is why all that is Gold is ever glittering.

I have an Eye for good thing, this is my true and absolute confession,
Good shoes, good clothes, good cars
Good houses even good Ladies all this I want in my possession.
These things are not easy to gather
It takes hard work and Gods Intervention together.

I have an eye for good things, that's why I am a Property Manager.
Good ladies that have great things
Good booty, good chest, and good round thing that's called a blessing.
Ladies that are structurally done and intellectually sound
Ladies that have things that make my heart skip around.

"Don't you ever wonder why my eyes are so big"
I have an Eye for good things; this is why my eyes are not so thin.
I see and I visualize the potentials in everything.
My Focal point is sharp and my lens so distinct
This made me to capitalize on my very Instinct.

I have an eye for good things
That is why i am putting it to ink
I have an eye for good things
This is why i think, I have an eye for you..!

DEATH CONDOLE HEALTH

Over the deep blue sea
Towards the Indiana ocean
A message was passed across
Filled with pensive emotions
How more sadder could this be
Death defeated health for all to see.

She fought for us all to be healthy
By being the voice of the helpless and the needy
Brought sanity and decorum to the system
By her an illicit drug illegality was stemmed
She was a catalyst, an agent of change
Took the risk for you and i beyond the page.

An Administrator, internationally acclaimed Pharmacist
A technocrat, deligent and so explicit
Against impunity her voice was stiffened
Until yesterday that death and health became even.
We will forever remember your good works
As you rest on the bosom of your good Lord.

Rest in Peace; Professor Dora Akunyili (NAFDAC DG)
